The Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), established in 1994, was previously The Alliance Defense Fund and is the world’s largest conservative Christian legal advocacy group working to expand Christian practices in public schools and government, outlaw abortion, and diminish the rights of the LGBTQ community.

ADF is committed to safeguarding the freedom of all religions (including no faith beliefs), freedom of speech, and the devoutness of life and marriage between a man and a woman. Religious freedom is for everyone to examine life-questions and their beliefs. It is every American’s right to choose their religion or lack thereof. ADF has defended the rights of Jews, Muslims, Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and atheists.

The Alliance Defending Freedom wants to ensure free speech for college students and their right to explore their ideas and discuss opinions and beliefs without repercussions. Delving into research or examining essential issues is the right of every American. The ability to analyze possibilities through debate motivates an outburst of ideas. Life is a gift, and it can be very fragile. We need to celebrate our freedoms and protect them for all people.

The ADF holds the sanctity of human life closely and intimately. They have defended and saved lives by defending every person’s right to live. Their goal here is to protect the laws of women and children for life, from conception to death from natural causes. The Alliance Defending Freedom was responsible for keeping a Gulf War veteran from being unplugged from life support after 10 days in a coma. His food and water were replaced, and about five months later, he walked out of his own free will. ADF values life for all humans and will continue to protect those liberties.

Parents have every right to protect their children from extreme ideas and issues that do not belong in the classroom, including discriminating against the concept of radical race-based notions. Violating the civil rights of the students and their parents should not be allowed. The ADF is necessary.
