Bernard Acoca
Bernard Acoca is a native Italian, the author of ten books and a lecturer for more than twenty years. He’s been teaching English at the University level since 1993. He held positions as:
– Head of Department at Long Island University-Brooklyn College and Queens College in NYC
– Assistant Professor of English Literature at the Mendoza University (Argentina)
– Lecturer in English at Oklahoma State University
He teaches courses such as: Introduction to American Culture, American Literature from 18th century to present times, Chaucer’s “Canterbury Tales”, Shakespeare’s comedies and tragedies, among others. He also has other interests such as:
– Drama: Shakespeare’s plays and modern plays performed in Italy and United States.
– Traveling to promote Italian culture around the world.
He’s a member in the following associations:
– UK English PEN;
– Italic Institute at NYU;
– International Council of Romance Studies (ICORS);
His books were originally published under his real name. In some cases, he’s been translated from Italian into several languages, including Spanish, German and French. For example:
