Good question. If you’ve never heard of him, the fact is that he’s a pretty interesting person with quite a success story. For starters, he’s a full-time day trader who really doesn’t like being called an “entrepreneur”. Ross Cameron is just a guy who likes staying busy and actually loves trading, which is why he created an online community of like-minded individuals and had a lot of fun watching that community thrive.

Where His Interest in the Stock Market Started

Ross says that he thinks it began when he was in the 5th or 6th grade. That’s when his great-great-uncle made a small fortune in the market. Financial mentor and YouTube Star Ross Cameron´s cousins were busy enjoying all of the wealth that had been created for them.

Then, when Ross was in the 7th grade during the DotCom bubble, his school offered an interactive stock market class, which included a New York City trip. He was teamed up with a good friend as his partner and they managed their own “pretend” stock portfolio throughout the semester. Ross Cameron was truly inspired as they bought shares of companies and even some dotcom names. 

But, what Ross Cameron really wanted was to invest some real money in the market, so he called his local Edward Jones office. There, he said that he wanted to invest $100 in the American Ski Company. The only problem was that they would charge a $50 commission for buying and the same for selling. So, his dream of investing in the market had to wait a while.

Fast forward to today and, as a whole wrapped up YouTube Star, he is a successful trader himself as well as a well-known author, teacher, social media influencer, web developer, and so much more.
