Our Obligation

To Our Brothers and Sisters…

The Big Dog and Ms Linda here, as a retired firefighter and a dispatcher we seem to have within us a certain strain of DNA, if you will, as we are sure many of you do…a deep seeded need to help the underdog or the person in trouble.

First, because it feels really good when you help someone even if they say nothing the simple act of helping another human being, and for that matter another animal, brings about a rush of endorphins releasing within our body.  These endorphins set off emotional triggers that ultimately cause us to feel really good.  Second, and really probably the most important explanation is “It’s The Right Thing To Do”…period.

Our generation are the children who grew up in the 50’ and 60’s as so many of you, and we only say that because they report there are some 70 Million of us.  Remember growing up in a community of people where Mom and Dad, in the summer time, would sit outside with other parents and just watch the children play “kick the can”, “hide and go seek” or just riding bikes around in the street trying to jump the curbs.  Parents would talk…maybe Dad had a beer, while Mom has something else and they all just sat around enjoying life talking about the love of God and County.  Maybe you didn’t have those Ozzie and Harriet days, and if your not old enough you have no idea who Ozzie and Harriet even are, but were sure most of you had days similar you remember.

What has us really upset us is how many of us, through love of our Country, bought into that American Dream of growing up, getting a good education, finding a really good job, getting married, having those 2.3 kids, never really figuring out what the .3 kid even meant, working for 30-40 years and retiring with a really good pension and social security.  Retirement was what we worked for and it was going to be fantastic and the best years of our lives as we were able to spend time with our grandchildren.

What happen…well quite simply our desires were like water filled balloons and the economy within the last seven years was like a very sharp knife.  With the stock and housing markets crashing the water filled “American Dream” balloon was jabbed over and over with a very sharp knife called economy.  What resulted was our retirement funds were being depleted, and in some instances lost forever.  Fortunately some of us were able to save some of those dreams, but there were far too many of us who watched as our dreams slowly fell through the cracks dripping into the ground and quickly soaking away into the dry soil of life.

OK Fine…what really makes us “Angry”, and not at any person, place or thing…just angry in general is this is straight up “Wrong”.  It makes us so fricken mad to see our brothers and sisters of years gone by to have little to no retirement funds.  We have very close friends who were already retired and through this balloon piercing activity have return to work and see themselves working well into their 70’s…how fricken wrong is that…there has to be a way out of it.  The remarkable part about this is even though this has happened we have never lost our love for God and County because we are a generation of fighters…not complainers…when we fall we get up dust off our pants and keep moving forward.

It’s time as brothers and sisters to unite and do what is necessary to help dig each other out of this predicament, which is all this is…no more than a temporary set back.  Together we can easily put this fire out and the answer is just as simple as using water…we should, can and will create multiple streams of income for ourselves.  By creating the multiple streams of income we protect ourselves so no future predicament will be able to harm us…if one disappears there are still others remaining…as we become older and are asked to leave this school house called earth (A phrase used by our mentor Joe Schroeder), our children and their children will have the security we built as they follow in our footsteps…but how?

In the grand scheme of it all each and every one of us are bound by a much higher power as brothers and sisters, and for us it was more like a calling if you will.  We  teach, guide, and lead people into a community of like minded people where we are able to create those multiple streams of income.  It’s place where you can virtually gather around and have talks like our parents did on those summer nights…and it is those talks that help to lift our spirits, motivate and allows us the ability to spread the seeds of giving, caring, honesty, and respect.

Please understand you are and extremely special person and communing within this neighborhood will demonstrate this to you.  It is said we were created with “dust”, but we challenge you to see, feel and understand a more powerful or stronger ingredient was used.  We like to think we were all created with something called “Star Dust”.  Within each of us is the ability to become the stars you dreamed of as children, and the remarkable stars your destiny has set aside for you.  Try thinking of this in a different way by sowing these seeds of greatness over and over.  We are no different than farmers who fed the world in which we live.  Where they planted their crops year in and year out, we continue to sow the seeds of greatness and then enjoy our harvest as we share with our neighbors.  Are you willing to stand up for something…are you willing to help yourself by giving of yourself to your brothers and sisters….we are…we believe…we can…and we do…

If you would like to talk more about this or would like more information please feel free to contact us.

Respectfully and sincerely,

Big Dog and Ms Linda

  1. Hi Brother Paul and Sister Linda!

Firstly, thankyou for your thoughts and prayers recently. Demonstrating more caring is what IS, where “what is IS …and what isn’t, isn’t” ~ The Great Joe Schroeder. Your prayers and thoughts were appreciated.

Something Linda said in one of your recent blog posts: “our bodies are made of star dust” further elevated you in my eyes, as I share the same belief. There’s a heartening joy when one encounters “like minded thinkers” on their consciousness journey. So I am happy to know you.

I wholeheartedly beleive we are all spiritual beings having a human experience.

Freedom consciousness is our divine birthright.

    Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou.
